Picture Makeup and Retake Day: Picture makeup and retake day is Monday, October 6th. If you want to retake your picture, you must return your picture packet from the first picture day. Retakes are not available for students who did not order pictures.
Girls Gymnastics: Are you ready to dance, leap, jump, and flip into something fun this year? Come be a part of the Girls Gymnastics Team! Come to our interest meeting on Thursday October 9 in Room 500 at 2:15 to learn more about our team and winter season. Practices start November 10, 2025. This is a no-cut sport—all skill levels are welcome! Whether you’re brand new or experienced, there’s a place for you on the team. Book Club: Do you love to read books and discuss them with other book lovers? If so, come check out Kentwood Book Club the SECOND Thursday of every month in room 164 where we discuss the previous month’s book and pick our title for the next month… all while sharing treats, tea, and a laugh or two. KW Tardy Response Plan: Being on time and in class everyday matters—for your grades, graduation, and the goals you’ve set for yourself. Our Tardy Response Plan (linked here) is now in effect.
We’ll be tracking tardies and attendance weekly.
There will be follow-up and consequences to help support you staying on track.

KW PTSA Spirit Wear: The KW PTSA spirit wear online store is now open! Visit https://protimesports.chipply.com/kentwoodhs to order. Purchase PJ pants, t-shirts, hoodies, and more to help fund Senior Scholarships and other PTSA programs. The store closes Monday, Oct. 13th at midnight. Orders will be available for pick-up from Kentwood PTSA in mid-November. Distribution dates are to be determined. Direct shipping is also available. ASVAB Testing: Are you interested in pursuing a career in the military after you graduate High School?? Kentwood will be hosting an ASVAB Testing session on Friday October 10th at 8am. This is a test administered by the US Military to determine your job placement as you enter service. Open to all 10-12 grade students! Register with this link. Yearbook: Now is the time to purchase your Kentwood Yearbook! You can order your yearbook online or pay at the cashier's window. Pre-sale yearbooks are $60 with ASB and $75 without ASB. Sales end on Friday, December 19, 2025. Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee you get a yearbook in June! Contact Mr. Taylor for more information.
Fall Athletes: All fall athletes must have a current ASB card to participate in practices and games. Purchase online or at the cashier's office. After getting your ASB sticker from Mrs. Herrick in the Cashier's office, show it to Mrs. Inscho in Athletics/Activities to be cleared in Final Forms. Students without ASB are not be eligible to practice or compete. Get your ASB card today!
