Friday, January 30 from 4:00 to 5:00 is our Park Orchard Career Fair! Show our kids that they can be anything they put their mind to. January 30th 2026, at Park Orchard Elementary School from 4 pm to 5 pm.
We need our community heroes to share their stories for one inspiring hour. Bring your tools or props for a hands-on experience, and help K-5 students connect school to the real world. Ready to inspire? RSVP by January 23rd 2026.
All volunteers must be Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) approved. You must renew your approval every year even if you've volunteered in the past. https://www.kent.k12.wa.us/page/volunteer |

Attendance matters! We want your student at school every day so they can learn, play, and grow. School starts at 9:15. Campus opens at 9:00. There is no supervision anywhere on campus before 9:00. Early release on Wednesdays at 1:55. There is no after school supervision. |
The items in our Lost and Found have been piling up! Remind your student to check the racks for anything that you haven't seen come home in a while.
And we also have a Small Items Lost and Found in the main office for things like rings, glasses, pens, and toys. |
It's winter in the PNW! Please have your students dress in weather-appropriate clothing (coats, gloves, hats, rainboots, umbrella, etc.) to keep them warm at recess and consider packing an extra set of clothes in a large ziplock in their backpack just in case they get wet. |
Park Orchard families, if you are driving your student to or from school please remember to keep all of us safe by obeying posted 20 mph speed limits, and coming to a complete stop before the white lines or stop signs at intersections. When a crossing flag is up, all directions must stop. Thank you for helping keep our kids safe! |
