Dear Ridgewood Families,

It has been another month of great learning here at Ridgewood. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together in supporting all students at our school. We have many exciting events planned this spring, which bring us closer to the end of this school year. On April 2nd, all Ridgewood families are invited to Multicultural Night from 6:00-7:30. We are grateful that Ridgewood is comprised of many cultures, with each of our students, staff, and families being unique. Our Multicultural Night is a fun evening to celebrate our diversity with a variety of fun performances, food, and entertainment. Whether you host a booth to help represent your culture or attend as a guest and join in the fun, we hope all Ridgewood families can attend!

Please keep your eye out for details on additional events. We look forward to another Coffee with the Principal on April 30th at 9:00am, where all parents/guardians are invited to join. Also, our whole school STEM Fair Night will be here before you know it on May 20, 2026.

Please keep in mind that registration for next year is now open. We can use your help in spreading the word with the community. Any interested parents and guardians can go onto our Kent School District website to fill out the online enrollment form or contact our front office for assistance. Ridgewood is such a fantastic community, and it is because of our extraordinary students, supportive families, and professional staff. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ms. McBride
Your Proud Principal

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!

Spring is on the way! Please help your student dress in weather-appropriate clothing (coats, gloves, hats, rainboots, umbrella, etc.) to keep them warm and dry at recess. Consider packing an extra set of clothes in the bottom of their backpack just in case they get wet.

We are so excited to invite families to Ridgewood's 2026 Multicultural Night on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 from 6-7:30 pm. We hope that ALL families will join us as we learn about different cultures and countries represented at Ridgewood. We want to learn from you and celebrate the wonderful diversity in our school.

Families are invited to share more about their culture through display boards and/or food. Students are also invited to wear clothing that represents their culture or country of origin for the Cultural Parade at the opening of the event. Watch for more information from your student’s teacher.

Building Positive Behaviors

DID YOU KNOW?

Ridgewood students earn Raven RAVES tickets for following any or all of our schoolwide expectations during the day! Our schoolwide expectations are called the Raven RAVES!

- Respect Everyone
- Act Responsibly
- Value Learning
- Encourage Each Other
- Safety First

There are times when students have even recognized each other with Raven RAVES tickets! Each week, one ticket from each class is pulled and the students selected are awarded with a small prize from the office. Sometimes we even surprise the school with a double draw for the week!
