From the Principal

Hello Sawyer Woods Families,

It has been a fun week here at Sawyer Woods. Our Salmon transitioned from being eggs to alevin. Students are loving watching them grow.

This morning I made pancakes for Mrs. Rowland's classroom because they won our epic SOAR bingo game at our last expectations assembly. See picture above for evidence of their greatness.

We are thrilled by our iReady Winter Diagnositic data. We have so many grade levels that are achieving higher and growing faster than the national norm. We are excited to show the data at our next conferences. Speaking of, please send back to school your conference time preference forms ASAP.

This past Wednesday, our teachers dived deep into our math data. We planned our next RTI (response to intervention) cycle where students get instruction on what they need whether in "large" or "small groups".

We also had a visit from our superintendent and it was so great to show off our school. We have so much to be proud of.

Best,

Andre Koch, Principal

School Wide iReady Growth/Proficiency Data

If data interests you, these graphs show our grade level performance in both their growth from the fall and their level of achievement. Average growth and proficiency is smack dab in the middle. High Growth and High Performance is in the upper right quadrant. This data really is pretty great. Kudos to our students and our teachers for working so hard. We are either very close to the national the national average in performance and growth or we are far beyond. I am one proud principal!
