Hello Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer, filled with sunshine, laughter, and cherished memories with family and friends! My family enjoyed many adventures, including camping amidst the smoke and plenty of bike rides. Important Information
Meet and Greet: Join us on Monday, August 24th, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your child's teacher, explore the classroom, and drop off any optional school supplies. We’re excited to see everyone and will provide bus passes and additional information during this time.
First Day of School Grades 1-5: Wednesday, August 26th marks the first day of school for Grades 1-5. Please remember that drop-off begins no earlier than 8:10 AM. School Meals: Great news! Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students again this year.
Kindergarten Family Connection Conferences: From Wednesday through Friday, we will have WAKids conferences, with Kindergarten students starting school on Monday, August 31st. We encourage families to prepare for this exciting transition by utilizing the transportation that your child will consistently use during the school year. Bus tags/passes for kindergarten will be handed out at the WAKids conference. Important Reminders Biking to School: If your child rides a bike, please remind them to walk their bike once they’re on campus for safety. Crosswalks: Families, please utilize the crosswalks in the parking lot to ensure everyone’s safety.
Drop-Off Process: For new families, our drop-off is efficient—staff will open the doors for students. If possible, please have your child exit from the curbside door. Adults and visitors are not allowed past our fences during the school day (unless checked in as a volunteer). If you drop off your child and decide to park on the first day of school, you will say goodbye no further than the fence. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, filled with learning and fun experiences for your child. Best wishes, Principal Koch |
